Patron's Scheme

The Rothwell Temperance Band is one of the best brass bands in the country and gaining a better reputation year on year with eye catching results in some of the highest profile contests in the country. This is achieved through a great deal of hard work and commitment by all members of the band, none of whom receive any payment or reimbursement but play purely for the love of performing and entertaining. However we do not have a major sponsor, and to continue improving and entertaining at the highest level, we need to raise money. As an example we recently qualified to represent Yorkshire at the National Finals at the Albert Hall, but this will cost the band approximately £5,000.

To this end, we are launching our patrons' scheme which involves supporters making an annual donation to help pay for the band's ongoing expenses such as instrument repairs, new music, bandroom rent and transport to contests. In return you will receive a quarterly newsletter containing information about recent happenings at the band and future events, as well as an insight into the day-to-day running of the band and the people involved. You will also be able to beat the queues and reserve seats at selected concerts.

There is no minimum donation, but if you donate £50 or over you will receive two complimentary tickets for one of the band's selected concerts. Donations of £100 or above will receive the tickets as above and an acknowledgement of your support in the Christmas Concert programme.
